Ordinances Regarding Keeping Pet Pigs

Goodyear, AZ. No more than one potbellied pig as a household pet. Not to exceed 100 pounds Palmdale, CA. Vietnamese potbellied pig as a pet. No more than one may be kept for each dwelling unit. Chula Vista, CA. One miniature pig. Not exceeding 18 inches at the shoulder or 100 pounds. Castle Rock, CO. The owning or keeping of a miniature potbellied pig shall be unlawful unless the following conditions are met: The owner or keeper of a miniature potbellied pig must comply with the Town's registration process, through the Castle Rock Police Department, immediately after acquiring the animal. The license fee, including the fee for replacement licenses, shall be in an amount as set by the Town Manager or designee. Only one (1) miniature potbellied pig, per single-family detached lot, is permitted. All miniature potbellied pigs must be registered with a bona fide miniature potbellied pig registry, or certified by a veterinarian licensed in the State of Colorado, and cannot weigh more than one hundred (100) pounds. All miniature potbellied pigs must be microchipped before they reach the age of twelve (12) weeks. Miniature potbellied pigs must at all times wear a harness or collar, bearing an identification tag made of durable material with legible and current identification attached thereto containing words, numbers or a combination thereof, which enables the animal control officer to readily ascertain the name, current home address, and a valid current rabies tag attached thereto, which tag shall be furnished by a veterinarian. Trinidad, CO. Miniature potbellied pig. Any person may keep what is commonly known as a Miniature potbellied Pig within any zone district within city in which domestic animals are permitted. City of Kennedale, TX. No more than two potbellied pigs- Swine. Killen City, TX. Keeping Miniature pigs: A maximum of (2) two miniature pigs as a pet with maximum weight of one hundred fifty pounds.
